In addition to the challenges associated with the Coronavirus, oil prices have fallen dramatically. Many oil companies and their suppliers have thus come to experience the uncertainty with double strength.
Norway was early on with strong and necessary measures. It is particularly gratifying to note that these measures have produced results that now allow us to open up the country partially.
NECON has recently experienced some tough years with significant challenges related to the previous crisis in the oil and gas sector. Especially during the 2018 and 2019 operating years, NECON established increased sustainability and earnings for the company and our customers.
In 2018/19, we chose to diversify our business sectors further to be less vulnerable to fluctuations in the oil and gas market. This has resulted in the company delivering one of our best results ever in 2019.

Of course, it is difficult to predict what will happen in the future. Both due to a new oil crisis and the Corona outbreak, but the company is also experiencing an increasing number of requests in several of its sectors.
The core of NECON is our expertise, and the company is continuously looking for the best engineers and talents who want a little more.
We wish all our employees, customers, and suppliers a really good "different summer" - it will end well!
Best regards
Arnvid Skogseth, CEO - NECON.
